Rev 8:11And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.12And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.13And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of thethree angels, which are yet to sound!
Verse 11: The star is Wormwood, in Greek, aspsinthos it is a poisonous herb or a drug, very bitter. This will pollute 1/3 of the fresh water on earth. People will be so desperate it is hard to fathom. Consider the desperation after a major "weather event", earthquake, tornado, tsunami,volcano etc. People become desperate there only to find relief from those caring hearts of Gods people and good samaritans. These persons will be gone. However, there will be the144.000 leading. They will not have fresh water to share either.
Verse 12: Light is being taken and fast! All aspects of heavenly light. Stars, moon, and yes, the sun. Recall that without light, nothing will be able to grow. There will be a devastating effect on crops, and the food supply. Look at Matt. 6:23"But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!" this is our Lord speaking. Have you had the chance to receive the light from our God, to accept Christ as your Savior? Have you rejected it? Are you now practicing Christian Science, Theosophy, Spiritualism??? Take a Glance at 2 Thess. 2 :11, 12, it says here that there will be "strong delusion" and a lie will be believed. Has this happened to you? Get back to the Word of God and stick to it! It is your personal choice and responsibility. Do NOT believe everything you are told!
Verse 13 The last three trumpets are "woe" trumpets. The judgement here is far more intense! Join me for this next portion, would you?
Until next time,
Blessings on all,

Revelation 8:8, 9 & 10
8And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. 10And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
Notice the first judgement was a force or nature, these two are as well. You shall see the next two are forces of nature too. With each blast of a trumpet a different portion of the Earth is offended. The destruction is not total, but is brutal. Trumpet number one: Grass and a third of the trees. This blast involves a great mountain then the seas. The third a star falls burning a third of the rivers and the fountains of water.
See Jeremiah 51:25 There is reference to a great burning mountain, in this case it is a symbol of Babylon. The city that was THE place for idolatry, and spiritual deviance. If you study Babylon, do not be surprised if you find a direct link or similar practices from the old Babylon religions to some of today's ritual services happening in the "Christian" churches today. That however, may be for a different blog series. The second trumpet today's "Babylon will be cast into the sea of nations. Translation: the false churches of today will be destroyed. More about this coming in Revelation 18.
Look back at the book of Exodus when the Pharaoh refused to let the people go. Exodus 9:24 we read about fire mixed with hail. Here there is fire, mixed with hail (first trumpet) and blood is thrown into the mix! Now, go to Joel 2:10 we read about the day when the sun would be dark and the moon into blood. Now, a third of the sea became blood....any Old Testament reference?...Yes..recall Moses with turning the Nile into blood and the fish die.
But, what about "The great star" from the third angel trumpet. Stars in prophetic scriptures are in reference to religious "big wigs" or dignitaries. Stars are those persons who turn many lost to the righteous path, the Bible speaks of them occupying places of high importance in the spiritual world. So, what is this verse possibly saying? Maybe that this "star" has so much religious influence that it (or he) will fall and when it (or he) does, one third of it's influence will be stricken due to evil influences.
This is plenty to ponder!
Blessings on all till next time!
