Revelation 7: 4-8

4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribesof the children of Israel.5Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.6Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Naphtali were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasseswere sealed twelve thousand.7Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribeof Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.8Of the tribe of Zebulun were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribeof Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjaminwere sealed twelve thousand.

See Ezekiel 9 1-7  The is a picture prior to the great slaughter, but after the tribulation.  It is not unusual for persons to mark those things which belong to them, those things which are of up most important to them.  This is exactly what God is doing here, marking His property and saying, "Don't Touch!".

We have touched on the 144,000 before.  Just a couple of things to  mention here:
1.It is not the number of faithful in our generation, in everyday worship.
2.  144,000 ar not servants when the rapture takes place.  Why?  Because it says that all in Christ will be taken at that time. Therefore, they are to be saved and made servants of God by the time they are sealed.
3.  Recall in Elijah when God reserved 7000 men for Himself?   Here He is going to reserve 144,000 Jews for himself.
4.  They come from 12 or the 13 tribes of Israel.  Notice that Dan is left out and two tribes from Joseph is taken.  Why?
                 A. No one is really sure the guess is that the Antichrist is to come from the tribe of Dan.  See Genesis 49:17.
                 B. The tribe of Dan was the first to go into idolatry, and they may be the last to go into Idolatry, worshiping the
                      Antichrist.
                 C.  This is a thing we will find out only when it is time for us to meet and ask God.  It is not for certain those two
                       listed above are correct.
Starting with verse 9, things get a little more sticky and the blog will end up much longer.  So, I will stop here and allow this to be absorbed, questioned, pondered on.

This is a perfect it to reflect and make sure you and your loved ones are all "property of God".  While we don't have a stamp or a mark on our forehead, we should be able to make it clear by the way we respond to our Heavenly Father and by the way we treat His kids!

Blessings on all,

Calaash
