Revelation 6: 7 & 8

Rev 6:7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Let us remember that John is talking about things leading up to the end, not the final end.  John uses what he knows to paint the picture of death and disaster.  The horse is pale color, pale means green, or chrome.  A Better translation is one of a livid horse.  Chloros is the the Greek word and it is described as a face in terror, true terror, or the color of a corpse..  Things will be of death and pestilence, there will be no place where God's wrath on the disobedient can hide.

Notice here that he rider is given a name, Death.  In addition, the rider that was to follow was Hades or Hell.  They were named because they were not as easily recognized as the first three riders.

Let's Review:
1.  First seal:           White horse...Anti-Christ...Had a bow, ready to conquer.
2.  Second Seal:     Red horse...War...To remove the peace from the earth...fights and killing each other.
3.  Third Seal:         Black horse..Famine...Held the balances...if still alive, things will be very, very costly.
4.  Forth Seal:         Pale horse...Death...A great pestilence.
Pestilence  1 : a contagious or infectious epidemic disease that                   is virulent and devastating; especially : bubonic plague
2
: something that is destructive or pernicious (Websters Dictionary)

This will NOT be a time to be here on this Earth.  We need to remember God loves his children, ALL his children.  We need to place Christ first in our lives, confess Him as risen from the grave and get right with Him.  Please, seek counsel if you feel your not right with  God.  Dear friends, I and many like me feel time is running short!

Blessings on all,

Calabash
